Read more about the cities I'm traveling to this summer! I've learned that one of the most important steps to a great travel experience is to do your research and know your city!
Freiburg, Germany
Population: 230,000 people; many college-students/young adults
Location: South-West Germany near the borders of Switzerland and France; near the Schwarzwald (Black Forest)

Also, there is a ver ec-friendly environment supported by the large population of individuals who identify with the Green Party in Germany. Lastly, the Münster (pictured right), is the cathedral of the city of Freiburg. It was completed around 1330 and is the only Gothic-style church tower in all of Germany.

Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH)
Population: 450,000
Location: slight south west of the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Fun Facts: It is the capital city of BiH. In 1914, the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, was assassinated in Sarajevo by a Serb nationalist youth; an event that set World War I into motion (cool, and also creepy). Sarajevo was the first city in Europe to have city-wide tram service.
